We are a year on from the dreaded referendum – a year of having “the will of the people”, “Brexit means Brexit” forced down our throats. A year of being at the wrong end of name calling such as “Remoaners”, “Saboteurs”, “Enemies of the People” etc etc.
A year and one pointless election down the line – supposedly in the middle of “negotiations” but where are we really?
Still In – that’s where we are and we will continue fight so that we can remain IN!
We are angry with Brexit and the lies that lead to the vote on the 23rd June 2016. We are angry at the negative rhetoric emanating from some Brexit supporters, most of which is fear based on lies fed to them by the right wing press. We are angry at the prospect of being dragged backwards into a past that we have worked hard to move on from. We are angry that our rights and freedoms are being taken away from us with no regard for the important value of our potential loss.
A year has passed and we are still divided as a nation and as remainers our opinions and concerns are ignored. We have tried to find the positive but we have yet to see or hear one. The politicians dragging our country in this direction are clueless as to the effects of this and offer nothing in the way of reassurance that this is the right thing to do.So what can we do?
